Hows that for a Headline! This is Dave signing on to let you all know I had an emergency operation on the 2nd and am now missing part of my small intestine.
The Dr. said he took out about a foot of it along with my appendix and then turned it around where it was supposed to be in the first place. He said I was born all twisted up inside- my appendix was on the upper left side and was all turned around. Now he says I should get to feeling better and be less bothered by my insides. I certainly hope he is right. The Dr. just told me (thursday) that I could go back to work, mostly half days or so next monday. That puts me ahead of what he told me two weeks ago. He said then it would be at least a month before I could go back to work, so I am about 2 weeks ahead of his original schedule.
Gloria is leaving next Friday (22nd) for Augusta, GA to go see Irene and the kids, then I am leaving the following Friday to go there for one week. Unfortunatly, we will miss Tom and Bev's 50th celebration, but will be thinking of them. Thanks for your prayers and see you all later, Dave and Gloria
